چکیده

As panoramic images are widely used in many applications, efficient image stitching methods that provide visually pleasant image mosaics are needed. In this paper we discuss a novel concept for smart camera image stitching based on graph pyramids. For a multi-camera system, the images have to be aligned accordingly to create an image mosaic. Instead of calculating the corresponding transformations centrally, we aim at enabling each camera to individually calculate the transformation of the image it takes. Graph pyramids used for image segmentation provide information about the segmentation process. We analyze how this information can be used to calculate the transformations for image alignment.

Image Stitching of the Computed Radiology images Using a Pixel-Based Approach

In this paper, a method for automatic stitching of radiology images based on pixel features has been presented. In this method, according to the smooth texture of radiological images and in order to increase the number of the extracted features after quality enhancement of initial radiology images, 45 degree isotropic mask is applied to each radiology image to observe the image details. After t...

A Camera Revolver for Improved Image Stitching

A technique for rotating a multiple-camera system for making omnidirectional movies is described that achieves better image stitching. It eliminates mismatches caused by parallax errors due to the distance between the optical centers of each camera. Figure 1: Fisheye image taken using 35 mm film (left),

Image Mosaicking Approach for a Double-Camera System in the GaoFen2 Optical Remote Sensing Satellite Based on the Big Virtual Camera

The linear array push broom imaging mode is widely used for high resolution optical satellites (HROS). Using double-cameras attached by a high-rigidity support along with push broom imaging is one method to enlarge the field of view while ensuring high resolution. High accuracy image mosaicking is the key factor of the geometrical quality of complete stitched satellite imagery. This paper propo...

Panoramic Video from Unstructured Camera Arrays

We describe an algorithm for generating panoramic video from unstructured camera arrays. Artifact-free panorama stitching is impeded by parallax between input views. Common strategies such as multi-level blending or minimum energy seams produce seamless results on quasi-static input. However, on video input these approaches introduce noticeable visual artifacts due to lack of global temporal an...

Real-Time Video Stitching Using Camera Path Estimation and Homography Refinement

We propose a novel real-time video stitching method using camera path estimation and homography refinement. The method can stably stitch multiple frames acquired from moving cameras in real time. In the proposed method, one initial between-camera (BC) homography and each camera path (CP) homography are used to estimate the BC homography at every frame. The BC homography is refined by using bloc...
